The French magazine Challenges has published the ranking of the CAC 40 companies with the best reputation.
Produced by the American Reputation Institute, a research and consultancy institute specializing in corporate reputation, together with the consultancy firm I&E, this ranking is based on a “survey conducted in France between January and February 2011 among 3,783 “qualified” persons: clients, suppliers, employees and shareholders." There were many criteria for the ranking, including the quality of products and services, innovation and economic and financial performance.
Challenges, which last December also published a ranking of the best-performing companies, emphasizes that few companies figure simultaneously in the Top 20 for “reputation” as well for of "performance". Ranked ninth in terms of performance, L'Oréal therefore forms part of this select club.
